Storm Mitigation: Intentions to Support Calming the Weather

(Not to be confused with Solar Storm Mitigation, which is about dealing with solar activity that messes with us ugly.)

This is essentially prayer work that you can engage, just in case our praying for a better outcome for global issues makes one fig of a difference.  I choose to believe it does, but I'm willing to waste my time if I'm wrong.  So lets continue.

"Storm Mitigation" is a piece of Cooperative Spiritual Energy Work that seeks to minimize damage associated with severe weather events.  A friend and I assembled this energy work many years ago, so the details of it aren't exactly ummm... in my head anymore.  My brain is getting older.  What can I say?  I should be sucking on a ginkgo tree while rubbing a fish on my head.  Maybe that would help.  I am going to have to cough up an actionable intention set anyway.

For those of you with a stomach for immense blather... please continue. :)

Unlike in math class back in grade school, I actually like "showing my work" when I share this kind of protocol.  Cooperative Spiritual Energy Work, when we are asking for things we might actually be able to receive, is efficient and puts all the big effort on the front end of the task, then allows you to basically hit the "easy button" for the same work any other time you need it. 

I'm going to write out the work in steps so that you can see what is going on here.  Again, there is nothing special about me except that I spent a decade working this out instead of pretending to be normal.  You can do this as easily as I can.  Honest.  Frankly, if you have a young fresh brain.. you might do better!

Step One: Articulate the goal and give the work a name that can be called again and again.

Work Name: "Storm Mitigation"

Goal:  The overarching goal of this energy work is to minimize damage and harm associated with extreme weather or geologic/elemental activity or events of any kind.

Step Two: Articulate, to the best of your ability and level of understanding, specific intentions that support the stated goal.  Be simple or be technical, be redundantly redundant multiple times if you want.  Our being able to state appropriate intentions is part of the "ask and receive" part of this system.  We may not need to know everything, but we do have to make the effort to clarify our intentions to the best of our ability.  It's the part that makes your brain itch, but you only have to do it once, so do it as thoroughly as possible. 

Step Three: Kick the work up to God/the spiritual level to be corrected in perfection (Spiritual CYA), brought within Divine Will, and then sealed properly so that the work maintains its integrity through time. I usually add this to my intention set so that it is clearly stated, especially if I share the work with others and intend for it to be group supported woven work.

Step Four: Run it!

OK, here's the hard part.  Make your brain smoke until there is nothing left.  Get it all out.  Connect in with your guidance and ask for direction.  If you ask for guidance, you don't need to know everything ahead of time.  Thank God for that.  I would be screwed if this work depended upon my own competency and knowledge. 

Intentions Supporting Goal

• Mitigation of damage to property and mitigation of harm and suffering to life (all life, not just humans) associated with severe weather of any kind, such as hurricanes, thunderstorms, snow, tornadoes, and so on.
• Mitigation of damage to property and mitigation of harm and suffering to life (all life) for elementally severe conditions of any kind, such as occurs with too much or too little fire, water, air, or earth.  For example: flooding or drought, fire events of any kind (even if from human origin), volcanic activity, severe wind, tornadoes, dust storms, or geologic stress from the earth, such as earthquakes and techtonic plate shifting, mudslides, and so on. 
• Mitigation and minimization, as possible, of global warming or any other direct or indirect systemic impact that increases stress and imbalance within the Earth's weather, geologic, or elemental systems.     
• Correction, rectification, and purification of human dissonance patterns and any kind of pollution created by humans that may be aversely directing weather patterns or geologic and elemental imbalance. (Some believe that the collective human bullshit negativity actually causes severe weather and the like, so I'm throwing it in the intention set in case there is any truth to it!)
• Support to humanity to evolve in as graceful a way as possible so that we have increasingly more mastery over our own bullshit negativity (pollution of any kind, energetic or physical), so we don't miscreate and cause havoc in other systems, such as weather and geologic/elemental patterns on the planet.
• Request for forgiveness and understanding for humanity from other layers and levels of creation that are aversly impacted by our bullshit negativity and pollution.  (We are little and stupid, please forgive us and help us to buy a clue so we can improve.) 
• Request for comfort, care, transition support, and support of any kind needed... provided for any suffering or damage created by weather, geologic, elemental events of any kind that cannot be mitigated fully because the consequences somehow serve the Highest Outcome to unfold within Divine Will, beyond our ability to understand.  (When the Divine Word is, "No, you cannot mitigate this storm.", please support those who will need care and comfort in the best way possible.  All life, not just humans.) 

• Support to the elemental, natural, Gaia-linked consciousness to discharge storm/elemental/geologic energy in a way that is in alignment with the Highest Good of the planet with as little suffering to all life as possible.  (The Earth may need to shake off some of this energy for her own good and we should respect that need too, but all things equal, shaking it off with as little suffering as possible seems like a relevant and wise request.) 
• Support and cooperation for and with all relevant levels of conscious creation within Divine Will to work for and with humanity to rectify and bring into perfected integrity and balance the patterns and systems that govern planetary weather, elemental, and geologic activity.
• Since I am not a geologist or a weather girl, I request that all those who have specific scientific knowledge about these systems, be allowed to articulate and add specific intentions to this work to strengthen and improve it in any way that is within Divine Will and that supports the Highest Possible Outcome to unfold on Earth and for humanity with as much Ease, Grace, Mercy, Compassion, and Love as possible.
• We request to support and network this work through all relevant systems of earthly and spiritual connectivity, such as the earth grid system, spiritual grid systems, and human grid system (I call it the Tapestry of Light).
• We request to Hold Space, individually and collectively, in whatever way is appropriate and in the Highest Good, to support the goal and intentions of this work, including the specific request for Divine Intervention and Grace.  We ask that we are supported, individually and collectively, to meet the challenges of this work in perfected integrity and for participation in this work to be moderated, protected, and adjusted at the spiritual level for optimal efficiency and Grace.
• We request for all intentions to be corrected in perfection and any intentions not articulated, but relevant and useful to the goal, to be added at the spiritual level in Eternal Time, and for all intentions to be brought within Divine Will.
• We request for this work, once perfected, to be Blessed, Optimized, Stabilized, Amplified, and Sealed under God.
• Amen. Aho. So Be It. Make It So. Engage. Do It To It. Shazam. Raise the Roof.  Or whatever you would like to say here. 
• Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

OK!!! 

So, there we go.  Storm Mitigation.

Now... run it by saying, "I request to initiate Storm Mitigation, now please."

Anytime you want to run it and Hold Space for this work in the future, you just use that phrase, or intend to connect and Hold Space in whatever way you feel guided.  The more people plugging in and doing this, the better! 

If you are a geologist or weather person (or mystic with great guidance) and you have other intentions that you believe should be contained within this list, please leave a note about it below, or... just ask to add them to this work in your own mind.  I'd like to learn, so I would appreciate the articulation of specifics so I can put it in my head too.  It may not stick in there, but I like to at least try. :)

If you would like to create a crystalline grid or medicine pouch to support this work, Christopher and I recommend any stones that are formed by, or have resonance with, the elements, such as obsidian, fulgurites, river/ocean stones, enhydros of any kind, stones that spark (flint, pyrite, quartz), stones that have associations with water or rain, like turquoise, opals, malachite, or stones that have a natural spiral pattern, like ammonites, that mimic the spiral nature of a lot of storm systems.  Things associated with tidal patterns too, like moonstone or lunar linked stones, would be cool.  Plug in with your guidance and just let it rip.

Keying: How to Get Energetic Info Out Yo Rocks

Sooooooooo..... I like got this crystal... and it's got this raised triangle on it... ummm.... soooooooo, how do I... like...  get whatever info is in there? 

Anyway, I saw a post in the Metaphysical Corner group on Facebook and I thought that I would throw a little blog article about keying your crystals.

I'll be honest.  I almost never pay attention to the different "master" crystal formations.  I could give a fig about whether something is this, that, or the other.  I usually just respond to intuitive hits, not physical attributes.  But, I have one exception... Record Keepers.  When I pick up a crystal, the first thing I do is scan the faces for those little tell-tale triangles.  The triangles are supposed to designate a crystal as one that holds energetic information of some kind.  Of course, there are other crystals that don't have a triangle that I'm pretty sure have some information in em too.  You know what I mean, those crystals that you just had to have... the ones that really wrapped their little crystal fingers around you and said, "I AM YOURS.  TAKE ME HOME." 

Years ago, I used to do really in depth readings on crystals.  I called them "Crystal Whispers" and I blogged about how to do that on another article.  I had a bunch of friends that did them too.  We learned quite a lot of useful lightwork information.  (Anyone that says, "dumb as a box of rocks", clearly hasn't tried to have a conversation with a rock.  Turns out, they are pretty flippin smart.) 

Anyway, it took many years, but we figured something out that is worth sharing about retrieving information that might be stored within certain crystals.  Every once and awhile we had a crystal that wouldn't really talk to us or give us much information.  We called them our Stevie Nicks crystals because they gave us sweet visuals of a lovely, sprite-like woman in a flowing white dress just walking through the forest.   Nice... Stevie Nicks, but was there any meat in that conversation?  No.  No meat.  Just a gypsy... that she was.

I'm not sure which one of us figured the keying thing out, but eventually, we were prompted to go through a process with our crystals that was something like showing a soul identification card.  Think of it like a pass card to gain entrance to a secured area.  Some crystals seem to have information or gifts that are specific to an individual (that only one person can access) or the information/energetic gifts can be individualized (many people can access, but everyone gets whatever it is that they personally need). 

Once we began "keying" the crystals, sometimes a whole new world of information or energetic shifts opened up to us.  We also discovered that the Stevie Nicks crystals, which didn't offer much information on the first pass, often finally gave up some goods once they were keyed.  And, well..some of the information in crystals is really just some kind of energetic shift, not "information" that is in English.  It's just a buzz.  Sometimes the buzz offers something useful, but we will never really know what it was.  Just sorta the way it is in this great big land of ambiguity.

The stones/crystals you should key are definitely the obvious record keepers with the raised triangles, but also any crystal or stone (doesn't have to just be quartz) to which you have had a very strong reaction.  The ones that feel personal to you...yes, and the ones that are flashing through your mind right now.

Keying Protocol

Imagine a line of light going from your 3rd Eye (middle of your forehead), or from your heart, connecting into your crystal. 

Imagine sliding a key down this line of light and into the crystal.  The key symbolizes your soul idenfication. 

Then say, "I request to receive whatever is in my Highest Good, now please."

If it is an energetic shift, once it is completed, say, "I request to Bless, Optimize, Stabilize, Amplify, and Seal this under God, now please."
  
I recommend that you jot down any symbolic messages or out-in-out information immediately.  It also might be groovy to do an actual reading on the rock however you normally do that, or by using the crystal whispering strategies that I blogged about before here.

Inner Door Work: Cord Cutting

Hello Darlings...

Inner Door work is the equivalent to "cord cutting" work.  I just use the visual symbol of a door.  It works.

 

OK, consider that every person with whom you have interacted in any meaningful way throughout your entire life has some type of energetic connection to you.  For purposes of this work, I would prefer you visualize these connections as doorways instead of cords.  Each door represents a single connection.  Now imagine that all of these doors are in a single large, cylindrical building, many stories tall. 

I kinda see mine like the Leaning Tower of Pisa...

Except, it ain't leaning... and I'm on the inside...and it's way, way, way taller than Pisa.  The doors are all on the outer edge of the building, facing in, and overlooking the ground floor, where I imagine that I stand when I do this work.  Have you ever been to an Embassy Suites where all doors over-look the lobby?  That's what I'm talking about.  You can see your doors, or at least the floors... regardless of how many stories it may be.

OK... Doors.  Now imagine that the deeper the connection, the closer to "ground floor" the doors are that symbolize your relationship/energetic connection to a single person.  Obviously, your immediate family is ground floor and your good friends are probably second floor... but, even those folks to whom you may no longer have an active relationship, but to whom you did share a very deep bond at some point...may be situated on lower floors too.  The less emotional of a connection, the higher up they are.

And guess what, every person with whom you have had sexual contact with... yep.... that is a deep energetic bonding.... whether you had a significant emotional relationship with them or not, is going to be on a lower floor.  One night stands, yep.  That cute frat boy you hooked up with and who then dodged you the rest of the year, yep.  That amazing dude (or dudette) at the Panic show, yep.  Your first love, yep.  All of your ex-boyfriends, yep.  All of your ex-husbands, yep.  Get the idea?  If you did the Diddly with someone, they have a significant door.  I can hear some of you saying, "Oh Shit."  I won't tell (glass houses and all...)  It's okay.  But... yes... the more doors you have G'friend... the more "at risk" you are of inappropriate influence messing around in your system. 

Now... if you do not practice any type of "Boundary Integrity" or "Energetic/Spiritual Protection", consider that those Inner Doors are not secured.  I don't know about you, but I have some ex-boyfriends that I definitely do not want to have energetic access to me in any way, shape, or form.  (For those of you who have had very sticky issues with individuals, I bet the dedicated "Cord Cutting" work for a single relationship is fabulous and absolutely worth it.)  But, not just them, really... I do not want anyone I have ever had a relationship with, on any level, to have energetic access to me in any way that is not in Divine Alignment or that doesn't support my Highest Good.  

Don't go away mad... just go away, kind of thing.    

The Inner Door Work was developed as a way to do a full-sweeping, system-wide scan and rectification of any inappropriate energetic connection to you through all of your relationships throughout this life-time.   

Why?  Because 'inappropriate influence' can push you around a bit, sometimes without your even knowing it.  If you are sensitive or empathic, good golly Miss Molly, it's even worse.  Life is hard enough just handling and healing our own "yuck".  You don't really want to have other people's "yuck" oozing in your general direction because you simply did not disallow it, right?

Seems like human beings should have come with some fine print, so we know these things ahead of time.  It would save a lot of grief.  But, whatever... we figure it out as we go, I guess.

To initiate Inner Door Work.....

1)  Connect in with your Higher Self through God and your Spiritual Helpers, whomever they are.  I find that asking for the "appropriate" Spiritual Helpers through God works for me, instead of asking for specific ones.  If you follow a particular spiritual tradition, it makes sense for you to use it in your work.  For example, my Catholic friends would be hitting up Big J for this, or perhaps Mother Mary. 

2)  State your intention to initiate Inner Door Work, which means that you want a full scan and rectification of all your connections, such that only that which is in your Highest Good is allowed access... and all that which is not in your Highest Good is not allowed access. 

3)  Imagine yourself within your "Hall of Doors".... or that imaginary, symbolic building I yacked about earlier.  Imagine your Spiritual Helper(s) standing next to you, ready to do the heavy lifting.  You are going to allow your Spiritual Helpers through God to make the decisions as to door "positioning", okay?  If you KNOW you have a troubled connection with someone... definitely discuss it with your Spiritual Helpers. 

4)  Energy Command #1:  "I request to close all Inner Doors that should be closed, now please." 

Imagine hearing a bunch of doors slamming shut from all levels of the building. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam.  Thank you.. thank you... thank you. 

5) Energy Command #2:  "I request to lock and seal all Inner Doors that should be locked and sealed, now please."

Oh gosh, do you hear all those locks turning?  You may even see some doors being boarded shut.  Word. 

6) Energy Command #3:  "I request to have guarded all Inner Doors that need guarding, now please."

Probably the doors that are boarded up, now have a guard posted in front of it.  Don't be alarmed if your "guard" is an animal.  For whatever reason, Griffin's and the like sometimes show up for guard duty... sometimes angels... whatever.  It is what it is.  It's your head, after all. 

7)  Energy Command #4: "I request to cleanse, clear, and purify all Inner Hallways, now please."

OK, you won't see this part.. cause it's on the other side of the door.  Basically imagine a nice group of Warrior Guardian Angels going down these "halls" with blow torches of Holy Fire... burning the yuck "between" you and whomever the door represents.  If you want to do forgiveness and release work here, golly, that would probably be groovy for you.

8)  Energy Command #5:  "I request to open all Inner Doors that should be open, now please."

Yes, that's right...  how about asking to empower the connections that are truly good for you... the people, places, events, opportunities that you should connect with.  I imagine this as new light and fresh air streaming into the building... so refreshing.  Mmmm... good people.  Come to me. :)

9)  Energy Command #6:  "I request to Bless, Optimize, Stabilize, Amplify, and Seal this work under Divine Will, such that it maintains integrity in perpetuity. Amen and Thank You."

OK... that's it.  Inner Door Work.

Now do it again for your "Soul Level Hall of Doors" too, which represents all connections through time to all your past lives, basically.  Same exact protocol... just intend for your Hall of Doors to represent your Soul Self, not just your here and now self. 

Not a bad bit of energetic re-calibration to do on a slow day, I figure.

Ummmm..... perhaps a nice salt bath afterward.

How to Make Gem Elixirs: Drink the Energy of Your Rocks

I love me some buzzy water.  I wanted to share the handout I use in my "Fun with Gem Elixirs" workshop.  I think some of you will enjoy the strategies I've learned to use over the years.  I'm sure none of you are shocked that I don't create elixirs in a traditional way, right?  I have learned so much by just playing and having fun.  If you have any questions, just let me know!

Making Gem Elixirs

Safety First: Some stones are toxic, brittle, or dissolve in water. If you are unsure, use non-contact methods for creating your gem elixir.

Using a “Bottle Blank”: You can prepare glass dropper/spray bottle blanks, which will allow you to easily facilitate “non-contact” elixir preparation for any method you like. The most potent strategy I have found is to prepare your bottle by filling it ½ with distilled water, then add one small clean crystal that volunteers to be a “vibration keeper”, a pinch of sea salt, then top off the bottle with vodka or brandy for preservation. If you prefer preservation without alcohol, use a good quality, organic apple cider vinegar as the entire fluid in the bottle. The bottle blank is used in the elixir making process while fully sealed, so no other rocks come into physical contact with the fluid you intend to ingest. You can get bottles in various colors. I find that the amber colored bottles are great with solar infusions, or more physically aimed elixirs. The cobalt colored bottles seem great for lunar, or more spiritually aimed elixirs. Clear bottles are fine too, but you should store them out of direct light or in the fridge.

Properly Sealing the Elixir: At the completion of a “charging” process for creating elixirs, it is very important to ~seal~ the work so that it maintains its integrity over time. You may use the energy command, “Bless, Optimize, Stabilize, Amplify, and Seal”, to do this.

Traditional Method: Sunlight or Moonlight Infusions of Water in a Glass Container: The light/energy of the sun or moon are used to infuse the liquid with the vibration of the stone(s) by leaving the stones in a glass container (contact or non-contact) outside for a period of time of 1 hour or more. Plastic wrap may be placed over the container to prevent debris from getting into the liquid.

Gem Elixir by Crystalline Grid: This method uses the vortex and energy field created by a crystalline grid to infuse the liquid with the energies of the stones in the grid. A small glass with water (a quartz center stone that is okay to be in water can be used in the glass), or bottle blank, is placed at the “center stone” position, the grid activated, and the fluid allowed to charge, ideally, for a 24 hour period.

Gem Elixir by Singing Bowl: A crystal singing bowl makes a potent and quick gem elixir. Fill the bottom of the singing bowl with clean water and then place the stones into the water. You may also place a bottle blank into the bowl if you want to maintain non-contact with the stones in the singing bowl. Sing the bowl for up to 5 minutes while maintaining the intention and presence to create a gem elixir. This method is super quick and tends to be highly “buzzy” as well.

Direct Download/Intention Method/Cooperative Spiritual Energy Work: Connect to your spiritual assistance and state your intentions for the elixir (what you want to support, etc), then while holding the stone(s) against or around the glass, say, “I request to create a gem elixir for my Highest Good, now please.” You can connect with your spiritual assistance while holding a glass, without a stone, and request to receive what you need, “I request to download whatever is in my Highest Good into this fluid, now please.”  I use this method the most because it's simple and it works just fine. 

Getting All Funky With It: Don’t be afraid to play. I often combine gem elixir, flower essence, direct intention downloads, Reiki, and whatever feels cool into one, nifty vibrational party in a bottle. Ask for guidance and then allow yourself to play. Play. Play. Play.

Seal It. This is important enough to say twice. Seal. Seal. Seal.

How to Care for Your Rocks

I wanted to spend a moment to talk about having gratitude and providing care and maintenance for your hard-working, sparkly rock friends.  It's just good manners to give before you take, right?  The same rules that apply to your human friends also applies to your rocks.  You don't want to show up demanding service without also considering, well... their needs.  In the spirit of all of creation being a part of the Universal Mind, and especially if you are using your rocks for spiritual and healing purposes, it just makes heart-sense to treat your tools with a sense of kindness and respect. 

Every rock that you have in your collection began first as a part of Mother Earth, a special alchemical dance of the elements and unique geological properties of the region of origin, and perhaps even a unique dance of some kind of sentient, Gaia-linked devic consciousness.  Lord knows, I spent a lot of time 'whispering' or 'reading' rocks to figure out how to best work with them and there were quite a few that I would describe as "somebody being home" in a direct or semi-direct way.  Native Americans often refer to rocks as "Stone People" and I can see why.  It's a rather beautiful and poetic way of viewing how things work, don't you think? 

The Crystal Care Series

Let's talk a little about the gratitude part.  We know that rocks are mined and taken from their original locations.  Sometimes the people doing the mining are respectful human beings and sometimes they are butt-heads with shovels, who don't have an evolved bone in their body (yet).  That's just the truth of the matter.  One of the first things I do when I interact with a new stone or crystal is to run, what I call "The Crystal Care Series".  The Crystal Care Series is a direct energy download that I assembled and refined many years ago as a way to initiate well-rounded healing/gratitude work on behalf of the "Stone People" that was quick and efficient. 

It's super simple to use.  Simply hold your rock, or intentionally designate the rocks to which you would like to direct the work, such as "all the rocks in a rock shop" that you are walking through, or "that mountain yonder"... or whatever... and say, "I request to initiate the Crystal Care Series for this rock (or whatever rock/s), now please." 

For your personal rocks, it's nice to hold them for the process because if you are energetically tactile (aka: feeling the buzz), you'll be able to feel the energies begin, build, then wane when it is completed.  The intentions that are compiled in this automatic download include every imaginable care, cleansing, purification, rectification of human misuse or tampering (irradiation, color treatment, etc.), misaligned previous energy work/programming, energetic depletion/exhaustion, then the good stuff of adding whatever appropriate energetics or upgrades that are in Divine Alignment, as well as Love and Gratitude and any kind of Earth Healing necessary for the rock and the ~place of origin~ from where it was mined, as well as sending support for those mining in that area to evolve and grow into better non-butt-head kind of people.  I spent a few years upgrading and refining the intentions of The Crystal Care Series and I find that barring a rock's personal preference for some other kind of care... it seems to do the job pretty well. 

If you don't care to try The Crystal Care Series, please do send Love and Gratitude to your rock, as well to the land from which it came, in whatever way makes sense to you and your personal beliefs and traditions.  It's just nice to be nice.

How Do You Know When to Administer Care?

There are quite a few more traditional ways to provide care and maintenance for your pretty, precious sparklies, but how do you know when they want and need some good old TLC?  You can use a few strategies.  Routine times for care include the instances of when the rock is new to your collection, is about to be used for work, or after it has done bouts of work, and so on.  I used to do routine care once a month during the full moon, but I abandoned that when it began taking me fifty trips back and forth to my deck to put them outside.  (Plus, I'm pretty sure that the raccoons snaked a few of my precious ones during some full moon care sessions!)  

When I dropped the monthly full moon care, I made an agreement with my collection that if anyone needed special care that they could "flash themselves to me", in my mind's eye, to let me know that they needed some care.  At that point I would fetch the stone who was looking for my attention and simply ask what kind of care it wanted.  That method still seems to work for me.  So, my strategy was to provide routine care for newbies and anyone about to work, or who had been to work... and then the rest could send me a memo.

Other Care and Maintenance Techniques  

OK, there are so many ways to care for your rocks that you can either do what is convenient, what moves you, or what your rocks seem to want.  The following list may not be exhaustive...and if you have a fun way to care for your crystals that isn't on the list, by all means, leave a comment and share it with your fellow sparkly lovers.

Crystal Whispering | Learn How to Read Your Crystals

What is Crystal Whispering?

Crystal "Whispering" is the process of diving much deeper into the energies of your crystals and gemstones to explore and discover the unique qualities and assistance that they may help you to facilitate.

There are many good books on the market that give energetic "what up" descriptions of rocks and gemstones out there... and I love them all... but if you begin and end your journey of understanding with the stone books available, you are missing a world of information.

I began "whispering" rocks and crystals well over a decade ago and have learned so much that can't be found in books.  When I was in that "receptive to information" state, all sorts of information came through, such as becoming more aware of my own personal healing issues, past-life issues, activating past-life wisdom, as well as healing protocols and strategies to initiate effective energy work that went far deeper and more expansive than just working with the stone or crystal in question.  There were many times that I received direct energy downloads or healing work as I was in the process of reading the crystal.  When I say it got trippy sometimes, I ain't lying.

In fact, reading crystals eventually led me to discover that anything I could do with a rock, I could do without one.  That's good teaching, right there.  But, all things equal, I still like working with rocks because they are physical and tangible and I like touch.  Plus, they are pretty.  I like pretty, sparkly things.  It all comes down to connection.  When you connect and ask to receive useful information, rock or no, the Divine figures out a way to put that time to good use.  The rocks and crystals are excellent focal points for concentrated connection. 

Why Whisper Your Own Rocks?

The stone properties books give you the stereotypes and generalities of a particular 'culture' or type of rock, but they cannot help you to define what unique qualities attracted you to THAT stone over others of the same family. Also, everyone who has ever written a stone properties book has had to sit down with a particular stone to juice out what it is good for, but stones and crystals speak in vibration, not English. Not only is there a translation issue to deal with, but every single person that translates that energy has to do so by filtering that vibration through their own energy field, their own bias, and their own perspective. Your filters and perspectives could be entirely different and the energies of a particular class of rock could tickle you in vastly different ways. 

So the books are helpful, certainly, but they cannot tell you how the rock in your hand tickles your specific system in unique and wonderful ways. In order to really "know" your rocks and discover how they can assist you (or the other way around) you need to give them the time and attention to tell you what else they can do. You can get to know them for the individuals that they truly are and go layers deeper into the potential than you may have if you allowed the books to define your entire relationship.

Preparing to Work

All energy work or spiritual work should begin with responsible practices.  If you are opening yourself as wide as you can to receive energetic information, you should dang well make sure your energetic doors are locked and you surround yourself with only those spiritual helpers who function within Divine Will.  Seriously.  Also, you want to establish good assistance and to be prepared to get into the space where the work will be easier.  Here are the steps I generally use before I begin working:

-I ask to connect to the Divine (God), my Higher Self, and the appropriate spiritual helpers.  I actually requested the creation of a "Crystal Whisper Team" many years ago.  I don't have to identify any helper specifically, which helps me not to attach to them. 
-I reaffirm that I am in safe, sacred space, where only that which is within my Highest Good may enter.
-I ask to be prepared for work in the most appropriate way.  (It's amazing how obvious requests make a difference.)
-I ask for my own biases and perceptual distortions be mitigated in whatever way is possible.
-I request to "attune" and connect to the stone or crystal, which puts me on the same page.  I usually send gratitude and love first, because it's just polite to offer my gratitude before asking for service. 
-I sometimes use other rocks that are helpful for connection, divination, and psychic awareness, such as inner ear whale bones (they look like human ears), dark blue stones, purple stones, high vibrational stones, and so on.  I may activate a crystal grid in my space to expand my own ability, take a gem elixir, or actually use the stone I'm whispering in a crystal grid or as a gem elixir.
-I tell my left-brain to go its happy place.  I intentionally suspend my desire to make logical sense of anything as it's happening and agree to do all of that AFTER. 
-"Key" your rock or crystal in case there is information specific to you.  Think of it as swiping an id card to get into a room that only those who are supposed to go may enter.  You can read more about this protocol here.
-TAKE GOOD NOTES.  You won't remember everything later.  Intuitive information is always symbolic and dreamy.  Please just go with it while it's happening and DON'T EDIT yourself or what you see.  Sometimes even the most insignificant image can be very important.  Write down everything. 

Ways to Crystal Whisper

1) AttuneThis was part of preparation for work, but sometimes just attuning to a rock and paying attention to where it "tickles" me gives me good information.  Since I'm more touchy/feely with my clair skills, I can far more easily feel where I'm getting buzzed in my body.  Attuning also starts the conversation and begins the connection.  If it buzzes particular chakras, I can interpret the assistance through where it tickles me.  I can make some educated guesses if my energy feels higher and lighter or more feels more grounded and stabilized.  I can also ask myself, "When would I want this rock around me?"     

2) Direct Psychic Work: Meeting the Deva or Receiving Images  Depending on your visual psychic or clair ability, this is like plugging in directly and requesting information, then recording it.  This could look like connecting the "deva" of the stone, which is a personification of the energies that you can meet and with whom you can chat and ask questions.  Honestly, I can't really do this.  I'm not visual enough.  My co-worker, Christopher, can do this easily.  When we read a new rock, he goes in to meet the deva first and I just record what he is doing.  When I go in for direct information, I get hazy single images or very short snippets of action.  I also will get flashes of other rocks that I have read before that is a message that means, "I'm similar to that one." 

Direct psychic whispers on rocks, at least for me, is a lot of effort.  I am more tactile and kinesthetic, as far as my 'clair' skill (the buzz), so going in through symbolic images is a bit exhausting.  It is, however, quite amazing how much information can be given through a single symbolic image.  In this instance, a picture really is worth a thousand words. 

Some of you that are more visual may be able to plug in like Christopher does.  If you can, groovy.  Practice, practice, practice.  Ask good questions.  Write it down.

3) Divination 
Because the direct psychic reading was so exhausting for me, I eventually created tools and strategies for myself to work smarter instead of harder.  I actually created an entire 'Crystal Whisper" divination deck that I printed out on pre-perforated business cards and then laminated.  After many years of the direct psychic method, I had a pretty good idea of the 'categories' of assistance into which the rocks could be sorted.  These were also still generalities, of course, but they were work specific categories that were more meaningful to me than the general stuff in the books.

I will often go to several different divination decks and do readings just like I would do a reading on a person or a situation.  I like doing several decks because each deck has different language and nuances that one card pull doesn't allow.  Also, you'd be surprised, but you WILL see repeating themes and main keywords.  I personally love that part.  I want to see repetitive messages.  That is how I know that I'm on the right track.

4) Work It, Work It...
Once you get some information, try to apply it in some real way to work you are doing.  A lot of how a rock or crystal may be of use can become clear AS you are investigating different techniques.  Hey, I'm all for the trial and discover method of research.  A lot gets worked out when you are actively engaging a process. 

5) Decoding the Information
Hey, left side brain, your presence is now required.  You may have pages of symbolic information and notes about your experiences that still doesn't tell you anything practical.  Now you have to decode it.  Where are the repeating patterns, phrases, words?  Look up images in your dream and symbol dictionaries.  Start putting the puzzle together with single observations or concepts, then look to see where those single concepts begin to paint a bigger picture. 

A single crystal whisper can take hours, even days.  The more ways you use to whisper, the more comparisons you can make, the more repetitive themes you will see, the clearer everything will become.  Sometimes you will only get a piece of the puzzle that you can handle or work with at a given time, so stay open to further prompts to do another reading at a later date.  After all, you cannot conceive of something you cannot conceive of yet.  You can only receive and translate information with which you have a frame to grasp.  As you grow and mature with more and more experience, there is more in your head to work with as far as communicating a concept.

Indigo Gabbro

It's Awesomite...

So far, there is one rock on the rough rock table that is the most exciting new rock find for me in a long, long time. It's called indigo gabbro and is a type of basalt-like rock from Madagascar. Man, oh, man... if you've been in the store since mid-November, and I was aware that you were "sensitive", I have likely plopped these stones in your hands already. They don't look like much at all, but if you are remotely sensitive to rock energy, once you hold them in your hands, you'll discover that these are smack-your-fanny strong. When I first held the Indigo in both hands (on 11/11), I literally felt as if my feet were being pulled down into floor. It was such deep grounding that it feels like suction is created for higher energies to just bolt through you and into the Earth.

Indigo Gabbro is known by another "trademarked" name, which by nature of the trademark process, I will not reveal. It has been successfully marketed in the metaphysical population by this alternative name, but the actual mineralogical name of the stone is "indigo gabbro". I described rose quartz once as being a non-dramatic, gentle stone that was NOT like a wizard with sparks flying off its fingers. Well, indigo gabbro IS the wizard with sparks flying off its fingers. You can buy it for $5 a hunk at the store, sold by its proper name, or you can pay 28 times that amount for the same stone under the "metaphysically marketed" name. Whatever. You have choices and choices are good.  It's all awesomite to me.

I have worked with the indigo gabbro since November and it's one of the best "technical workers" I've ever seen.  If you do any kind of energy healing, energy channeling, Reiki, global lightwork, or so on, you would greatly amplify the "gush" moving through you if you held an indigo gabbro in each hand.  The downward spiral vortex that it creates directly beneath you makes YOU a potent bridge or anchor of higher vibrational energies moving through you and into the Earth.  If you are doing energy work on someone else, have THEM hold the two stones and it will suck far more of a flow of energy through you than usual.  The same movement of energy that the indigo gabbro facilitates seems to  align you with your core Pillar of Light and allows you to be in perfect balance and harmony between the spiritual and the physical.  It's hard to see from the photos, but indigo gabbro isn't just black.  It's got flashes of violet, white, gold, all sorts of stuff going on in there.  Would you believe that they make kitchen counter tops out of this stuff? 

The second "hot" protocol for using indigo gabbro is by allowing the downward spiral vortex it creates to help you attune fully to any other rock energy.  If you hold one indigo gabbro in your right hand (or whichever one you feel is your grounding hand...) and then hold whatever other rock in your left hand, you will wash your entire energy field in the vibration of the stone in your alternate hand.  This is a pretty big deal, actually.  Imagine the range of applications.  The indigo gabbro would modulate whatever energy, even moldavite, to a usable format within your system.  Very, very useful.

I also very much like the indigo gabbro in crystalline grids.  I haven't had pieces small enough for your average table top grid, but I did put a super large grid together at a workshop the other month at the Prama Institute.  The grid was intended to be an Love/Earth Healing grid that about 20 yoginis and I anchored through to send love to the planet.  I had a large rose quartz flame at the center, large selenite rods as the spokes in the wheel, large natural labradorite, with some other smaller stones... but under--and in alignment with--the grid on the table, I had 7 large hunks of indigo gabbro that I got from the warehouse that were probably 5 lbs each.  It was a powerful experience, and when we left the building that night, I saw a large vortex that was visible, reaching far above the building and into the sky--even though the grid had been taken down.    I suspect that the indigo gabbro's deep downward spiral vortex action takes crystalline grid energy fields and imprints them on the Earth Herself, even after the stones are physically absent.  Could the indigo gabbro facilitate permanent bridges of Light to be anchored into the Earth?  I don't know, but it's a working theory at the moment.  When I learn more, I'll yack about it.

Potent stuff.  Amazing technical workers.  Yeah, don't take my word for it though.  Head on over to the rough rock table in the store and just put two in your hands and "let it rip".  We do have some available on eBay for my friends that are not local, but they are the 5 lb pieces .  Still... very nice.  If you get one big hunk, try using that as the center stone in a grid, or under the table of a smaller grid in alignment with the center of the top grid.  Trust me, you'll see what I mean.  Not subtle.  You could also take one of those 5lb hunks and put it directly under a massage table during sessions or under a chair during Reiki attunements (definitely awesome).  Play with it.  I am hoping that on Nader's next trip to Madagascar, he will get much more of this material in smaller sizes so that we can grid them in normal sized grids.  Ooooo.
