Crystal Whispering | Learn How to Read Your Crystals

What is Crystal Whispering?

Crystal "Whispering" is the process of diving much deeper into the energies of your crystals and gemstones to explore and discover the unique qualities and assistance that they may help you to facilitate.

There are many good books on the market that give energetic "what up" descriptions of rocks and gemstones out there... and I love them all... but if you begin and end your journey of understanding with the stone books available, you are missing a world of information.

I began "whispering" rocks and crystals well over a decade ago and have learned so much that can't be found in books.  When I was in that "receptive to information" state, all sorts of information came through, such as becoming more aware of my own personal healing issues, past-life issues, activating past-life wisdom, as well as healing protocols and strategies to initiate effective energy work that went far deeper and more expansive than just working with the stone or crystal in question.  There were many times that I received direct energy downloads or healing work as I was in the process of reading the crystal.  When I say it got trippy sometimes, I ain't lying.

In fact, reading crystals eventually led me to discover that anything I could do with a rock, I could do without one.  That's good teaching, right there.  But, all things equal, I still like working with rocks because they are physical and tangible and I like touch.  Plus, they are pretty.  I like pretty, sparkly things.  It all comes down to connection.  When you connect and ask to receive useful information, rock or no, the Divine figures out a way to put that time to good use.  The rocks and crystals are excellent focal points for concentrated connection.

Why Whisper Your Own Rocks?

The stone properties books give you the stereotypes and generalities of a particular 'culture' or type of rock, but they cannot help you to define what unique qualities attracted you to THAT stone over others of the same family. Also, everyone who has ever written a stone properties book has had to sit down with a particular stone to juice out what it is good for, but stones and crystals speak in vibration, not English. Not only is there a translation issue to deal with, but every single person that translates that energy has to do so by filtering that vibration through their own energy field, their own bias, and their own perspective. Your filters and perspectives could be entirely different and the energies of a particular class of rock could tickle you in vastly different ways.

So the books are helpful, certainly, but they cannot tell you how the rock in your hand tickles your specific system in unique and wonderful ways. In order to really "know" your rocks and discover how they can assist you (or the other way around) you need to give them the time and attention to tell you what else they can do. You can get to know them for the individuals that they truly are and go layers deeper into the potential than you may have if you allowed the books to define your entire relationship.

Preparing to Work

All energy work or spiritual work should begin with responsible practices.  If you are opening yourself as wide as you can to receive energetic information, you should dang well make sure your energetic doors are locked and you surround yourself with only those spiritual helpers who function within Divine Will.  Seriously.  Also, you want to establish good assistance and to be prepared to get into the space where the work will be easier.  Here are the steps I generally use before I begin working:

-I ask to connect to the Divine (God), my Higher Self, and the appropriate spiritual helpers.  I actually requested the creation of a "Crystal Whisper Team" many years ago.  I don't have to identify any helper specifically, which helps me not to attach to them.
-I reaffirm that I am in safe, sacred space, where only that which is within my Highest Good may enter.
-I ask to be prepared for work in the most appropriate way.  (It's amazing how obvious requests make a difference.)
-I ask for my own biases and perceptual distortions be mitigated in whatever way is possible.
-I request to "attune" and connect to the stone or crystal, which puts me on the same page.  I usually send gratitude and love first, because it's just polite to offer my gratitude before asking for service.
-I sometimes use other rocks that are helpful for connection, divination, and psychic awareness, such as inner ear whale bones (they look like human ears), dark blue stones, purple stones, high vibrational stones, and so on.  I may activate a crystal grid in my space to expand my own ability, take a gem elixir, or actually use the stone I'm whispering in a crystal grid or as a gem elixir.
-I tell my left-brain to go its happy place.  I intentionally suspend my desire to make logical sense of anything as it's happening and agree to do all of that AFTER.
-"Key" your rock or crystal in case there is information specific to you.  Think of it as swiping an id card to get into a room that only those who are supposed to go may enter.  You can read more about this protocol here.
-TAKE GOOD NOTES.  You won't remember everything later.  Intuitive information is always symbolic and dreamy.  Please just go with it while it's happening and DON'T EDIT yourself or what you see.  Sometimes even the most insignificant image can be very important.  Write down everything.

Ways to Crystal Whisper

1) AttuneThis was part of preparation for work, but sometimes just attuning to a rock and paying attention to where it "tickles" me gives me good information.  Since I'm more touchy/feely with my clair skills, I can far more easily feel where I'm getting buzzed in my body.  Attuning also starts the conversation and begins the connection.  If it buzzes particular chakras, I can interpret the assistance through where it tickles me.  I can make some educated guesses if my energy feels higher and lighter or more feels more grounded and stabilized.  I can also ask myself, "When would I want this rock around me?"

2) Direct Psychic Work: Meeting the Deva or Receiving Images  Depending on your visual psychic or clair ability, this is like plugging in directly and requesting information, then recording it.  This could look like connecting the "deva" of the stone, which is a personification of the energies that you can meet and with whom you can chat and ask questions.  Honestly, I can't really do this.  I'm not visual enough.  My co-worker, Christopher, can do this easily.  When we read a new rock, he goes in to meet the deva first and I just record what he is doing.  When I go in for direct information, I get hazy single images or very short snippets of action.  I also will get flashes of other rocks that I have read before that is a message that means, "I'm similar to that one."

Direct psychic whispers on rocks, at least for me, is a lot of effort.  I am more tactile and kinesthetic, as far as my 'clair' skill (the buzz), so going in through symbolic images is a bit exhausting.  It is, however, quite amazing how much information can be given through a single symbolic image.  In this instance, a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Some of you that are more visual may be able to plug in like Christopher does.  If you can, groovy.  Practice, practice, practice.  Ask good questions.  Write it down.

3) Divination
Because the direct psychic reading was so exhausting for me, I eventually created tools and strategies for myself to work smarter instead of harder.  I actually created an entire 'Crystal Whisper" divination deck that I printed out on pre-perforated business cards and then laminated.  After many years of the direct psychic method, I had a pretty good idea of the 'categories' of assistance into which the rocks could be sorted.  These were also still generalities, of course, but they were work specific categories that were more meaningful to me than the general stuff in the books.

I will often go to several different divination decks and do readings just like I would do a reading on a person or a situation.  I like doing several decks because each deck has different language and nuances that one card pull doesn't allow.  Also, you'd be surprised, but you WILL see repeating themes and main keywords.  I personally love that part.  I want to see repetitive messages.  That is how I know that I'm on the right track.

4) Work It, Work It...
Once you get some information, try to apply it in some real way to work you are doing.  A lot of how a rock or crystal may be of use can become clear AS you are investigating different techniques.  Hey, I'm all for the trial and discover method of research.  A lot gets worked out when you are actively engaging a process.

5) Decoding the Information
Hey, left side brain, your presence is now required.  You may have pages of symbolic information and notes about your experiences that still doesn't tell you anything practical.  Now you have to decode it.  Where are the repeating patterns, phrases, words?  Look up images in your dream and symbol dictionaries.  Start putting the puzzle together with single observations or concepts, then look to see where those single concepts begin to paint a bigger picture.

A single crystal whisper can take hours, even days.  The more ways you use to whisper, the more comparisons you can make, the more repetitive themes you will see, the clearer everything will become.  Sometimes you will only get a piece of the puzzle that you can handle or work with at a given time, so stay open to further prompts to do another reading at a later date.  After all, you cannot conceive of something you cannot conceive of yet.  You can only receive and translate information with which you have a frame to grasp.  As you grow and mature with more and more experience, there is more in your head to work with as far as communicating a concept.

Good luck and happy whispering!

Indigo Gabbro

Indigo Gabbro in the rough.  Buzzy. Buzzy. Buzzy.
Indigo Gabbro
It's Awesomite...

So far, there is one rock on the rough rock table that is the most exciting new rock find for me in a long, long time. It's called indigo gabbro and is a type of basalt-like rock from Madagascar. Man, oh, man... if you've been in the store since mid-November, and I was aware that you were "sensitive", I have likely plopped these stones in your hands already. They don't look like much at all, but if you are remotely sensitive to rock energy, once you hold them in your hands, you'll discover that these are smack-your-fanny strong. When I first held the Indigo in both hands (on 11/11), I literally felt as if my feet were being pulled down into floor. It was such deep grounding that it feels like suction is created for higher energies to just bolt through you and into the Earth.

Indigo Gabbro is known by another "trademarked" name, which by nature of the trademark process, I will not reveal. It has been successfully marketed in the metaphysical population by this alternative name, but the actual mineralogical name of the stone is "indigo gabbro". I described rose quartz once as being a non-dramatic, gentle stone that was NOT like a wizard with sparks flying off its fingers. Well, indigo gabbro IS the wizard with sparks flying off its fingers. You can buy it for $5 a hunk at the store, sold by its proper name, or you can pay 28 times that amount for the same stone under the "metaphysically marketed" name. Whatever. You have choices and choices are good.  It's all awesomite to me.

Click here to see juicy pebbles at etemetaphysical.com.
I have worked with the indigo gabbro since November and it's one of the best "technical workers" I've ever seen.  If you do any kind of energy healing, energy channeling, Reiki, global lightwork, or so on, you would greatly amplify the "gush" moving through you if you held an indigo gabbro in each hand.  The downward spiral vortex that it creates directly beneath you makes YOU a potent bridge or anchor of higher vibrational energies moving through you and into the Earth.  If you are doing energy work on someone else, have THEM hold the two stones and it will suck far more of a flow of energy through you than usual.  The same movement of energy that the indigo gabbro facilitates seems to  align you with your core Pillar of Light and allows you to be in perfect balance and harmony between the spiritual and the physical.  It's hard to see from the photos, but indigo gabbro isn't just black.  It's got flashes of violet, white, gold, all sorts of stuff going on in there.  Would you believe that they make kitchen counter tops out of this stuff?

The second "hot" protocol for using indigo gabbro is by allowing the downward spiral vortex it creates to help you attune fully to any other rock energy.  If you hold one indigo gabbro in your right hand (or whichever one you feel is your grounding hand...) and then hold whatever other rock in your left hand, you will wash your entire energy field in the vibration of the stone in your alternate hand.  This is a pretty big deal, actually.  Imagine the range of applications.  The indigo gabbro would modulate whatever energy, even moldavite, to a usable format within your system.  Very, very useful.

I also very much like the indigo gabbro in crystalline grids.  I haven't had pieces small enough for your average table top grid, but I did put a super large grid together at a workshop the other month at the Prama Institute.  The grid was intended to be an Love/Earth Healing grid that about 20 yoginis and I anchored through to send love to the planet.  I had a large rose quartz flame at the center, large selenite rods as the spokes in the wheel, large natural labradorite, with some other smaller stones... but under--and in alignment with--the grid on the table, I had 7 large hunks of indigo gabbro that I got from the warehouse that were probably 5 lbs each.  It was a powerful experience, and when we left the building that night, I saw a large vortex that was visible, reaching far above the building and into the sky--even though the grid had been taken down.    I suspect that the indigo gabbro's deep downward spiral vortex action takes crystalline grid energy fields and imprints them on the Earth Herself, even after the stones are physically absent.  Could the indigo gabbro facilitate permanent bridges of Light to be anchored into the Earth?  I don't know, but it's a working theory at the moment.  When I learn more, I'll yack about it.

Potent stuff.  Amazing technical workers.  Yeah, don't take my word for it though.  Head on over to the rough rock table in the store and just put two in your hands and "let it rip".  We do have some available on eBay for my friends that are not local, but they are the 5 lb pieces .  Still... very nice.  If you get one big hunk, try using that as the center stone in a grid, or under the table of a smaller grid in alignment with the center of the top grid.  Trust me, you'll see what I mean.  Not subtle.  You could also take one of those 5lb hunks and put it directly under a massage table during sessions or under a chair during Reiki attunements (definitely awesome).  Play with it.  I am hoping that on Nader's next trip to Madagascar, he will get much more of this material in smaller sizes so that we can grid them in normal sized grids.  Ooooo.

Labradorite - Flashdance - Metaphysical Meaning

Too Much is Not Enough...

For a long while, there were only two rocks that I put in my pocket every day when I went out into public: smoky quartz and labradorite/spectralite.  Labradorite ranks as one of the stones that is a "must have" for anyone who uses crystals and gemstones as energy work tools.  It has a wide range of uses from daily protection/shielding, energy cleansing, as well as more esoteric uses for spiritual work.

Some of you are confused by the use of the term "spectralite".  Don't be.  It's basically "labradorite on steroids", at least, that is how I explain it.  Spectralite is labradorite that is particularly high gem quality with a wide spectrum of colors within the flash.  The stone pictured above is a good representation of a labradorite that is called spectralite.  Spectralite, spelled with an "a" instead of an "o", is the gem quality form of labradorite from Madagascar.

I find that Madagascar has some of the most beautiful and "hot" (stacie-ism for "energetically potent and particularly useful") labradorite on the market.  I recently discovered that labradorite from Madagascar, unlike labradorite from other places, may contain pyrite within it.  For whatever reason, I adore any stone that kanoodles with pyrite.  Pyrite must do something synergistic and punchy for whatever other stone is with it.  Anyway, as much as I would like to believe I can be done getting labradorite, I think I may never actually have enough.  I have several personal pieces and I have moved some along to others.  As soon as one gets placed elsewhere, I find myself excited to sort through the labradorite at the store to find another one.  The last one I got was a spectralite pebble that has purple in it.  *sigh*  Purple is so dreamy in labradorite/spectralite.  It just makes me happy to see it in the flash.  I'm a simple girl.

OK, why does it make the cut as one of the stones that could I interact with on a daily basis?

Labradorite is one of the best "pocket stones" you can use.  The placement of the labradorite in your pocket puts it in the groin placement area commonly used in crystal healing layouts.  "Grounding" stones that are black, gray, brown, and red are the best kinds of stones to put in that pocket/groin position because it is the ~proper chakra placement~ to provide you with the maximum amount of energetic support.  The dark gray part of the rock is actually a little grounding and stabilizing, but not in the same way as smoky quartz or other darker stones.  I feel that the dark color of labradorite creates a type of "modulation" grounding of the higher light energies found in the flash to be more useful and accessible at the physical level.  In other words, it grounds the higher vibrational qualities of itself quite perfectly.  It is a prime example of a stone that walks in both the spiritual and physical worlds at the same time.  It's a lesson for us all to learn.

In fact, the ability for labradorite to walk in both worlds is one of the main reasons it makes its way into my pocket when I leave the sacred space of my own home and go out and about in the world.  I'm a sensitive girl and I need strategies to manage the onslaught of energetic information and stimulation found in the world beyond my own walls.  Labradorite fills out my auric field so that my field is stronger and less permeable to the energies of other people, environments, etc.  It is similar to being within an egg of protection, even though it's not technically "protection" in the way you might consider it.  It is protective and shielding because it makes me stronger and less vulnerable.  When I am energetically comfortable and buffered in this way, I am more able to be open to the "regular world" without compromising my own stability, and without having to shut down my sensitivities/empathy that might do some good for a few folks that wander in my direction.  So, basically, labradorite helps me to walk in both worlds at the same time too.

We included labradorite as the center stone in the Wooey Work Support Crystal Grid for the energetic strengthening and buffering action.  The center stone is always the main player in any grid, so all the other stones express through the lens of labradorite.  The other stones in this grid are: Kyanite, Prehnite, Green Opal, Celestite, Quantum Quattro Silica, Fluorite, Amazonite, Sand Dollar, and White Aventurine.  The grid energies are intended to help sensitive people deal with the demands of the world, while maintaining core integrity.  It's hard to feel okay out there when you pick up on everyone else's bullshit, isn't it? I empathize.  Ok, that was sorta funny.  I'm empathizing with other empaths about being empathic.  I think I just went all "inception" on the concept.  Annnyway.

http://www.etemetaphysical.com/wooey-work-support-grid-mdgrid013/

When I do shove labradorite in my right pocket, I always partner it with smoky quartz in my left pocket.  I'm not certain why that orientation feels right to me, I just know that it does.  Smoky quartz is a traditional "grounding and protection" stone and it fills in whatever needs I still have after the labradorite makes my energy field stronger.  I highly recommend this pocket rock "power combo" for anyone who has trouble with energetic bleed through while they are out in the general public.  Ha, I can even go into a Walmart during the holidays at this point in my development.  And, if you are sensitive... you know how much of a success story that is. :)  You might also enjoy my blog article "Smoky Quartz: Ally for the Sensitive", if this information seems important to you.

Other lesser known qualities of labradorite....

I do not think it is in the books, but labradorite is one of the best energetic cleansing stones you can use with intention.  This makes it a fabulous addition to any healing specific crystalline grid, sacred space grid, medicine pouch, gem elixirs, or crystal healing tool of any kind.  Energetic cleansing is one of the most important skills for anyone to learn and generally the first thing you need to do before engaging in any other healing process or protocol.

Labradorite Energy Cleansing Protocols

Bathtub Option:  I recommend adding a cup of Himalayan Salt to the bath water to increase the cleansing and releasing potential of your session.  Hold the labradorite at each chakra for about 2-3 minutes, or until it feels "done", while saying, "I request to cleanse, clear, purify my entire system, and to remove anything not present in my Highest Good, now please."   If you can't use your tub, you can do this laying down in bed too.  The bath just makes it nice.  I also recommend using the "rock breathing" method if you feel that would be helpful.  To do this, just imagine breathing through the labradorite and into the chakra, then breathing out through the labradorite... releasing anything that isn't present in your Highest Good.  If you are doing well without the breathing and it seems too complicated to you, skip it.

Make Your Own Gem Elixir for Energy Cleanse Option
If you know how to make a gem elixir, labradorite is excellent by itself or with other cleansing stones for an auric spray or gem elixir you can drop under the tongue.  The stones that I use in the crystalline grid above are good partners.  Make sure you check the books for which stones are not okay to have in water for consumption, okay?  If you aren't sure, use a non-contact form of elixir making.

Smoky Amethyst | Twice as Nice | Enter the Earth

Smoky Amethyst Pebbles at etemetaphysical.com, click here.
Smoky Amethyst
Super Something

I have never seen smoky quartz and amethyst in the same crystal before working at Enter the Earth.  I had no idea such a thing existed.  I bought a sweet little double terminated smoky amethyst crystal within weeks of beginning my job.  The energetic properties of these special crystals make them a “must have” for anyone who does any kind of spiritual or energetic work because the amethyst aspect will open and support higher, spiritual energy work, while the smoky aspect protects the worker and the process, brings stability and balance, as well as providing an excellent grounding for those higher energies to be brought to a usable format at this level.  These crystals help to bring it in, ground it out, then provide graceful integration of any positive shifts.

These crystals usually don’t all stop at being smoky and amethyst, either.  There are quite a few specimens that start wandering into elestial territory, others that have multiple inclusions, and some others that have water bubbles inside (enhydros).  Wowsie, wow, wow.  Some people are fans of the “Super 7 Stone”, aka “Melody’s Stone”, and I think that if these smoky amethysts are not Super 7’s, that they are somewhere along the continuum.  Some are more heavily included than others.  The more inclusions, the more likely it’s getting more and more “super”, so to speak.

We also have a smoky amethyst combo stone that we are calling “Banded Amethyst”.  These particular polished stones are chevron-like amethyst specimens that have white and smoky quartz banded within it.  I don’t get the smack-your-fanny, OMG quality from the polished pieces vs. the crystal varieties, but they have a very settling and soothing effect on the energy system that would make them especially good as hand held meditation stones.  I also think they would make excellent “sleep stones” for adults and children.  It would have the same “bring it in, ground it out” energies as the crystals, but there are no inclusions in the nice polished pieces.

Oooo, that's really cool.

So, smoky amethyst, who knew?  From crown to root, it will tickle your energy field in ways that make you a bit better at what you already do well; bring it in, ground it out, and bring about healing shifts with graceful integration.

Why Use Rocks for Energy Work?

So, why do we care about rocks anyway??
There are a lot of metaphysical properties of rocks books out there that will tell you what each stone is about and the vibrations that they contain.  It all sounds good (if a little over the top sometimes) but how the heck do you get to this "energy" and why would you want to?

I often compare the vibrational quality of rocks to the vibrational quality of music.  When I hold a rock, I actually feel a subtle "hum" in my body.  Different rocks "hum" or "buzz" me in slightly different ways and some literally make me feel like I'm a bit tipsy.  I see rocks, or at least most of them, like vibrational tuning forks that can help us tune our own wildly fluctuating systems to a more balanced and steady state.  If humans had an "energetic" sound, I think it would be more like a practicing orchestral pit.  When you work with stones, you introduce a steady note or vibration with which to calm and focus your own.  That may be a bit oversimplified, but that's the general idea of "why" you might like to work with stones.

Of course, you can't talk about the vibrational "tuning" effect of rocks, or any other energy healing modality, without also talking about the human energy field or system.  You just can't divorce the concept of our own energetic reality from the story of why we would bother to use tools like rocks to tweak our "vibs' in one way or another. There are quite of few different perspectives on the human energy system, most of which are thousands of years old and are based in ancient spiritual and healing traditions.  I'll post some of the various energy system perspectives below with links for you to read up on it.

Basic Chart of the Chakra System

The Meridian System from Traditional Chinese Medicine

Aura: The Concept of an Overall Energy Field Around the Body

You can basically spend a lifetime doing nothing but studying all the various schools of thought on the human energy field.  I had read a little about chakras when I was much younger and wasn't terribly excited by the information until a friend of mine actually ~introduced~ me to my heart chakra.  It went from being an intellectual concept to an authentic  reality to me in a matter of seconds.  Like I've said before, feeling is believing.

It was a simple exercise, really.  He stood at my side and put one of his hands about a foot behind my back at the level of my heart and his other hand about a foot in front of my body at the level of my heart.  His palms were facing one another with me standing in between.  He then began moving his hands further away from me and I felt this weird magnetic "tugging" sensation at my heart.  It was as if his hands were strong magnets and I was able to feel the magnetic pull the two had to each other.  Next, he asked if I could tell when his back hand was in position and when he took it away.  I closed my eyes and I could absolutely tell when his back hand went down.  The magnetic pull was broken.  He was also a Reiki Master and then put his hands between my shoulder blades to show me what Reiki felt like, but that is another story altogether.  It was a life changing afternoon, that's for sure.  Thanks Doug and Jane for introducing me to my own energy system. :)

So where do the rocks fit in this picture?  Well, people generally like to use rock energy (or the steady vibrational "note" of a rock)  like a tuning fork to fill in, clear, stabilize, or vitalize possible deficits, imbalances, or weaknesses in their own energy systems.  Rocks aren't the only show in town for this kind of work, any energy work modality essentially seeks to do the same thing, but rocks are pretty and sparkly... and most of us just like sparkly things. :)

There's Something About Madagascar

On the coastline of Madagascar.  Can you see the winking boulder?

There’s Something About Madagascar

Many months ago, a customer came into the store and we were discussing the amazing variety of stones coming out of Madagascar, and he said something to me that gave me goose bumps. He mentioned that scientists used to think that Madagascar was proof of ancient Lemuria or Atlantis because the fossil, plant, and rock history of the island was so like other places, it was as if huge chunks of land must have been missing that once should have connected Madagascar to mainland Africa or India. The acceptance of the “continental drift” theory of plate tectonics finally dispelled any scientific belief in Madagascar being evidence of those fabled missing landmasses. However, the acceptance of that theory does nothing to diminish the fact that the stones from Madagascar are either completely unique to the island, or the variety of rocks and crystals that are found there are simply more gemmy, vibrant and, in my humble opinion, more “energetically juicy” than those found in other areas of the planet. The more I work with the stones from Madagascar, the more I am convinced that there is just something special about the crystals and gemstones coming from there.

My first exposure to the unusually hot nature of Madagascar minerals was over a year ago when I came into the store as a customer. I bought a star rose quartz sphere that so impressed me that I left my resume’ with Carol, the store manager, before I left downtown that day. I’ve been an energy worker and all around crystal-toting, tree-hugger for well over a decade. I’ve spent a good deal of my time rolling around in various energetic healing modalities of all kinds and even authored an energy healing activity book called, Awake in Angelscape. Most of my own learning process revolved around working with stones in some way, so I’m always interested in specimens groovy enough to knock my booties off after all this time. I was thrilled when Carol called to offer me a job here at Enter the Earth. I knew I’d never have a dull day, and boy, is that an understatement.
Enter the Earth, Inside the Grove Arcade, Asheville, NC

So what is it about Madagascar? Why is it that so many of the stones that come from there are so functionally “smoking”? I suspect that the land there must be a convergence of high vibrational sacred sites and vortices of potent Earth energies. How else could the gemological resources from there be so powerful? I have not visited the island myself, so I cannot do more than theorize; but Madagascar, you have my undivided attention.

I also suspect that part of the reason why the resources at Enter the Earth are so “zoomy” is because Nader, the owner of the business, goes to Madagascar himself to hand select the rocks that end up getting shipped back to the States. He goes twice a year and stays for a month at a time, visiting the mines and selecting the resources that speak to him. I’m not sure that he is aware of how fine-tuned his own senses are in selecting therapeutic grade, energy-healing tools, but he is what I call “a natural” at it. Whatever inner prompts or nudging he responds to in his selection process couldn’t possibly be more “in tune”.

Many of the rocks and crystals coming out of Madagascar are new to the market. They aren’t in any of the metaphysical rock books yet. The ones that have made it into the books are often found under trademarked names that you wouldn’t identify with the actual mineralogical names of the stones that we use to describe them. So, that leaves us with an interesting challenge in providing the energy-healing community with the information that they can use to select and utilize some of these amazing new tools.

We have a brand new perspective for this New Year. Enter the Earth, the retail store, is going to provide new workshops and learning demonstrations on a variety of crystal healing and energy healing topics that will range from extreme basics to more in-depth learning and sharing opportunities. I will be facilitating most of the workshops, but I’m also interested in having more experienced workers come in to share some of their specialties too. In between the workshops and in-store demonstrations, I will do my best to “whisper” the crystals and gemstones that we have, so that we can effectively share that information with you. Crystal Whispering is a skill I’ve developed over the last decade that I’m happy to be able to put to good use in this coming year for Enter the Earth. I will endeavor to do a full reading on at least one new Madagascar crystal or rock resource a month, and to communicate that information through a monthly newsletter and on the website. If I can do more, I will.

If you have had an interesting experience with anything you’ve gotten from the store and would like to share how you work with your tools and resources, please, please… write in and let us know!
